During that process instruments can become damaged or bent, but not so significantly that they are discarded. It is in these cases where the probes are slightly bent but still within tolerance that accuracy is sacrificed. The new IZI Disposable Passive Blunt Probe offers a greatly improved standard care of accuracy when compared to the reusable probe. The geometric consistency was determined for each population, and the mean and median of the respective populations were found to be significantly different.
