Järven Health Care’s Special Fire Mattress is specially designed for demanding environments with an increased risk of fire. It has been tested and approved according to the world’s most stringent fire safety standards. The mattress cover resists open gas flames and glowing particles up to 900° C, which minimises the risk of fire and smoke generation. The cover is composed of an aramid-based composite material and sealed by high frequency (HF) welding, making the mattress waterproof and exceptionally durable. It is also easy to clean and disinfect. THREE-PART MATTRESS OPTION The Special Fire Mattress is available in a three-part variant designed to avoid the mattress being used to block cameras and/or door hatches, for example in police custody situations. It also reduces the risk of the mattress being used as a weapon or in a violent manner. There is also a pillow available which has the same characteristics as the mattress and measures 50 x 60 x 6cm. Material The foam cores of the mattress and pillow are constructed from 37kg/m3 CMHR (Combustion Modified High Resilience) foam that meets fire safety test method NT-Fire 055.
