Orthopedic - ARIX Cannulated Screw System

Product catalog summary
Indications
The ARIX Cannulated Screw System is intended for internal fixation, reconstruction, or arthrodesis of small bones in areas such as the forefoot, midfoot, hindfoot, ankle, hand, and wrist. It is applicable for procedures like replantation, lag screw techniques, joint fusions, corrective osteotomies, and fracture treatment.
Features and Benefits
The system includes a low-profile screw head to reduce soft-tissue irritation, cutting flutes, and double threads for effective countersinking. Made from biocompatible, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy, the screws ensure non-toxicity and durability. The design facilitates controlled closure and compression of fracture gaps, with self-tapping flutes to decrease operating room time.
Surgical Technique
  • Scaphoid (2.3 Cannulated Headless Screw): Involves guide wire insertion, drilling, depth measurement, and screw insertion to ensure compression between bone fragments.
  • Subtalar Arthrodesis (6.0 Cannulated Screw): Includes guide wire insertion, countersinking, screw depth measurement, pre-drilling, and screw insertion, with an optional washer for osteoporotic bone.
Ordering Information
  • 2.3 Cannulated Screws: Available in short and long thread options, with specific dimensions and codes for ordering.
  • 3.0 Cannulated Screws: Similar options as 2.3 screws, with detailed specifications and ordering codes.
  • 4.0, 4.5, and 6.0 Cannulated Screws: Each size has specific thread and screw lengths, with corresponding ordering codes.
