Foam Collar HE USE OF PROTECTIVE or restrictive “E” type collars has a long standing history of use in small animal medicine. The Important Features of a Restrictive Collar should be: ▲ ▲ Prevent access to surgical site or wound. Be comfortable for the patient. Easy to assemble and put on patient. Be reasonably priced. is a safe and comfortable support for the neck of dogs and cats. It will also restrict movement of the head, thereby protecting other parts of the body from self inflicted trauma. T h e F o a m Collar is made from an ultralight, dense and rigid closed cell foam. T h e F o a m C o l l a r is black, with both sides being an easily cleaned “skin”. Application of T h e F o a m C o l l a r is simple. It is wrapped around the neck and held in place with one or two pieces of standard adhesive tape. Six different widths are available to accomodate most dogs and cats.
