Our analogue KAT (Z-Type) applanation tonometer is indicated for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) to aid in the diagnosis of glaucoma. When used together with a slit lamp and tonometer prism, ZKAT operates according to the "Goldmann method", by measuring intraocular pressure from the force required to flatten (applanate) a constant area (3.06mm in diameter) of the cornea.
