KAT Overview The Keeler Applanation Tonometer (KAT) is a screening device used to measure intraocular pressure which is one of the key biomarkers considered in diagnosing glaucoma. • Calibration key The KAT is a non-active medical device and is completely mechanical, therefore does not require battery power. • Glide plate (T-Type only) • Tonometer post (R-Type only) The operation principal is based on the Goldmann • Tonometer mount screw (R-Type only) Applanation method.
