Overview and Challenges
Seattle Children’s Hospital is recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the United States, serving as a major pediatric and adolescent medical referral center. The hospital aimed to expand its patient care area with objectives focused on maximizing staff visibility while ensuring patient privacy. Additionally, the space needed to be easily reconfigurable to adapt to changing needs.

Solutions and Spaces
The hospital implemented Genius® Architectural Walls to meet its requirements. These walls provided the necessary visibility for collaboration, flexibility for reconfiguration, and an aesthetic appeal that complemented the hospital environment. The flexibility of the walls was tested when staff requested increased visibility, allowing the hospital to reconfigure the space overnight without the typical mess and disruption of traditional drywall. The removed walls were repurposed in another area, offering cost savings and maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout the facility.
