The tungsten needle will withstand the rigors of monopolar electrosurgery while maintaining an extremely sharp point. The needle is insulated with a high dielectric coating confining the energy to the tip. The tungsten needle is set into a stainless steel holder which fits a standard cutting/coagulation handpiece.
