Construction • High quality stainless steel chamber. • CFC-free insulation. • Toughened inner glass doors. • Audible alarm. Construction All precision incubators have stainless steel chambers, adjustable shelves and a toughened inner glass viewing door. The outer cabinet is rust-resistant and finished in white paint. Two 12mm access ports are provided so that cables for shakers or monitoring probes can be passed into the incubator. Heating The heating mat has a profiled element to eliminate all ‘hot-spots’. Polyurethane insulation is foamed in situ to help ensure optimum temperature control. Operation of the incubator at or below room temperature can be achieved when the cooling coil is connected to a source of chilled water (eg Model C3 recirculating cooler) Temperature Control All models have gentle fan-assisted air circulation via full-width ducts to ensure optimum temperature stability throughout the chamber. When the incubator door is opened, the fan stops so that any heat loss is kept to a minimum. Precision Incubators Dual temperature cycling between two preset temperatures is an optional extra on all models. The microprocessor PID temperature controller maintains the set temperature to within 0.1°C. The easy to use, tamper proof temperature controller shows both ‘set’ and measured' values. Indicator lamps show when the heater is active and if an overtemperature condition exists. The independent overtemperature safety cutout is easily set by the user.
