The inspection of samples can be done with the naked eye, or under a microscope for a more detailed inspection. The working distance is adjustable from a dark field to a grazing light configuration. VisiDark is the revolution in darkfield illumination: this configuration directionally offers powerful and precise light to the study sample. More than ever, grazing light provides high contrast images, accentuating sample edges and surface details. The ability to vary the intensity reveals all key visual information of the sample, regardless of the material, transparent or opaque, reflective or matte, and inspection for deposits or impurities is optimal. In addition, the absence of heat generated by the ringlight does not affect neither the observation nor the sample. The uniformity and directionality of L.E.S.S. light are unique. These properties offer unprecedented inspection comfort by accentuating contrasts, reducing stray light reflections, and, consequently, reducing eye fatigue. To meet the standards of the most demanding markets, the VisiDark range is available in two temperatures with VisiDark ONE at 5400°K and VisiDark PLUS at 6500°K, both offering exceptional color rendering index (CRI > 90). The L.E.S.S. lighting systems (for microscopy, machine vision, and bench lighting) have identical optical characteristics (color temperature, uniformity, and directionality). The quality of light of the lighting systems remains constant over their lifetime. This consistency, both over time and throughout the production line, allows for standardization and considerable operational time savings in all phases of inspection.
