Overview: This document provides detailed specifications and usage guidelines for UltraFlex (bendable) and Rigid electrodes used in dental procedures. It includes information on various electrode types, their applications, and care instructions.
Electrode Specifications:
  • UltraFlex Bendable Electrodes: These include models like UF-F1, UF-F10, UF-F11, and UF-F13, designed for variable length adjustments and specific dental applications such as anterior and posterior access.
  • Coagulation Electrodes: Models like UF-C15, UF-C51, and UF-C52 are designed for precise coagulation with minimal tissue alteration, suitable for different areas and conditions.
  • Fulguration and Periodontal Electrodes: UF-SN61 and UF-SN62 are used for soft coagulation and periodontal treatments, with specific models for shallow periodontal treatment.
  • Gingival Troughing Electrodes: These are made of fine surgical tungsten wire for minimal tissue alteration, suitable for both anterior and posterior access.
  • Excision Electrodes: Models like UF-F12 and UF-L32 are designed for precise cuts and biopsies with minimal tissue alteration.
Applications:
  • Restorative Dentistry: Electrodes are used for incision, crown elongation, gingival contouring, and more.
  • Oral Surgery: Applications include incision, operculectomy, and cyst enucleation.
  • Prosthodontics: Used for incision, troughing, and gingiplasty.
  • Periodontal Treatments: Includes gingivectomy, frenectomy, and graft donor tissue harvesting.
  • Endodontics: Used for incision, pulpotomy, and canal sterilization.
Care and Cleaning Instructions:
  • Avoid scrubbing electrodes with harsh abrasives.
  • Use hydrogen peroxide or an ultrasonic cleaner to remove blood or tissue before autoclaving.

GINGIVAL TROUGHING: These electrodes are made of fine .010” surgical tungsten wire for minimal tissue alteration. They are also excellent for fine shaving and tissue tag removal. Those not specific to anterior access are suitable for both anterior and posterior, also, interproximal where access permits. NOTE: the UF-SN61 and R-SN62 stainless steel fulguration electrodes are also suitable for narrow, shallow troughing ( UF-SN61 is .5mm X 3mm and R-SN62 is 2mm X 6mm ). Deeper cuts with these electrodes may create some circatrix, however. The UF-SN61 fits easily interproximally. Due to the larger...
