Dipha

Product catalog summary
Introduction
Dipha® is a pioneering data acquisition system designed for electrophysiology, featuring a versatile amplifier for multiple uses. It facilitates data collection and transmission through a compact, battery-powered device that communicates with a computer via a USB dongle within a 10-meter range.
Measurement System
The Dipha® amplifier includes a Digital Reference Amplifier with 16 channels, optimized for sensitive electro-physiological signals. It boasts high input impedance and low noise, ensuring quality measurements even with high electrode impedances. Shielded cables with a unique signal guarding technique minimize interference and artefacts.
Signal Processing
A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) manages data efficiently, employing oversampling and correction algorithms to reduce errors. Data is converted from digital to analog to minimize common mode content, and decimation filtering enhances resolution. Data is transmitted in high-speed bursts using a proprietary protocol.
Data Transport
Data is transmitted in real-time using a frequency hopping or spread spectrum protocol, ensuring high-resolution data collection with minimal errors. The transmitter conserves power by switching off between bursts.
Application Development
Dipha® supports a wide range of applications across various disciplines, with a user-friendly interface that minimizes professional intervention. Applications focus on delivering results in the form of reports, guiding users through necessary protocols.
Application Generator
Applications are created using a configuration editor that allows for the design and management of measurement configurations. Components and modules can be edited in vivo or in vitro, enhancing the editor's functionality.
Executable Application
Once configured, applications can be executed with specific electrode assemblies. These applications are uniquely numbered and can be customized under OEM conditions.

Dipha-1

Dipha One – Amplifier – Multiple Uses Dipha® is the first of a new class of data acquisition systems opening the digital world for electrophysiology. Dipha® is based on a new concept for the collection and transmission of signals: one amplifier for multiple uses. Data acquisition and pre-processing takes place in a light weight, smartphone sized, battery powered amplifier. Measurement data is transmitted with low power from the Dipha® amplifier to a transceiver USB dongle connected to a Personal Computer or Notebook placed at a distance of up to 10 meters. The connector header contains a chip with a unique application specific number that is broadcast when the electrode head is placed on the amplifier. A computer, licensed to recognize the assembly number, automatically makes contact with the Dipha® amplifier. A docking station serves as battery charger and as traveling case for the Dipha® ampl

Dipha® amplifier MEASUREMENT SYSTEM The Dipha® amplifier contains a Digital Reference Amplifier with 16 measurement channels. The true DC Digital Reference Amplifier has especially been designed for the measurement of sensitive electro-physiological signals. Extremely high input impedances and very low input noise currents enable high quality measurements even with electrode impedances being more than 10 times higher as in common practice. The upper trace shows cable movement artefacts from uncoated shielded cables. During the same test coated shielded cables show a small EMG signal and no artefact....

THE APPLICATION The application has the look and feel suited to the professional user and not to the biomedical engineer or software developer so the user is focused on the patient and not on the computer screen. The general idea is that Dipha® applications should give answers on simple formulated questions about physiological parameters measured by electro-physiological means. Applications therefore start at the result end of measurements in the form of a report containing information ranging from a single number to tables and figures. All known tools and activities leading to this report are...
