Sling Size Assessment Guide

Product catalog summary
Standard Sling Range: The guide provides a detailed chart for selecting the appropriate sling size based on girth and height measurements. Sizes range from XXX Small to XX Large, each associated with a specific color for easy identification. For example, a girth of 17"-21" and height of 2'8"-3'3" corresponds to an XXX Small Blue Striped sling.
Paediatric Sling Range: Similar to the standard range, this section offers a chart for children, categorizing slings by age groups from under 4 years to 10-14 years, with corresponding girth and height measurements and color codes.
Using the Guide: Emphasizes the importance of selecting the correct sling size for patient comfort and safety. It recommends a full risk assessment by a qualified professional and notes that factors like disabilities and weight distribution should be considered.
Taking the Measurements: Instructions are provided for measuring girth and height. Girth is measured around the chest for men and children, and around the hips for women. Height is best measured with the patient lying down. The guide advises consulting a clinician if there is any doubt about the correct size.
