Product catalog summary
Overview
FiberFlo® Hollow Fiber Cartridge Filters by Mar Cor Purification are designed for effective removal of bacteria, particles, and pyrogens. These filters feature a unique membrane structure that surpasses traditional absolute-rated membrane filters in pyrogen removal, making them suitable for various water purification and process fluid applications.
Quality Assurance
Manufactured to medical device quality standards, FiberFlo filters adhere to QSR manufacturing guidelines and exceed USP Class VI Plastics Testing requirements. They are integrity testable by diffusional methods.
Durability and Cost Efficiency
With up to three times the surface area of comparable pleated filters, FiberFlo filters offer greater capacity and longer life, reducing replacement costs.
Configurations
Available in four lengths, four micron ratings, and various endcap styles, FiberFlo filters can fit a variety of standard filter housings.
Maintenance
These filters can be steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved off-line, ensuring ease of maintenance.
Features
  • Fine filtration and longer filter life
  • Higher flow rates at lower pressure drops
  • Extended life—cleanable and sanitizable
  • Pyrogen removal (validated for FiberFlo 50 and 100)
  • Autoclavable and steam sterilizable
  • Quick rinse-up in ultrapure water
  • In-situ integrity testable
  • Hydrophilic membranes—rewettable without wetting agent
  • Biocompatible for life science and medical applications
Flow and Pressure Drop Rates
Typical water flow rates for a 10-inch nominal length filter are provided, demonstrating the filter's efficiency in maintaining low pressure drops while achieving high flow rates.
Suggested Applications
  • Medical and Laboratory: Device rinsing, hemodialysis water systems, equipment rinse water
  • Industrial: Semiconductor, deionized water, process water, dilute inorganic chemical solutions
  • Pharmaceutical: Manufacturing, serum and blood fractions, USP purified water, ophthalmics, growth media, fermentation feed stocks
  • Food and Beverage: Distilled spirits, bottled water, seltzer, vinegar, food products, makeup and rinse waters
Technical Specifications
FiberFlo filters are available in four types (50, 100, 200, 450) with varying pore sizes and flow rates. They are constructed with Polyphen® polysulfone membranes and have a maximum differential pressure of 30 PSI. The filters meet U.S.P. tests for oxidizable substances and total solids for purified water.
Ordering Information
Ordering codes are determined by selecting the type, length, and style of the filter, with specific codes provided for each configuration.
