Product catalog summary
Introduction
NasoAid® Intranasal Splint is a sterile nasal barrier composed of 70% collagen and 30% carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). It is designed for use in nasal and sinus surgeries to aid in healing and prevent adhesions.
Specifications
The product is available in various sizes: 20mm x 20mm x 15mm, 40mm x 20mm x 15mm, 60mm x 20mm x 15mm, and 80mm x 20mm x 15mm. It features a highly porous structure with 0.5mm macro-pores and a 35-fold fluid absorption capacity.
Composition and Features
The collagen component provides a sponge-like structure that maintains integrity for 7 to 14 days post-implantation. The CMC component offers moisturizing properties and aids in structural disintegration. The material has high compressive strength and recovers quickly when wet.
Application Procedure
1. Flatten the nasal plug to fit the affected area.
2. Insert the plug gently into the nasal cavity.
3. Inject 5-10 cc of sterile saline around the plug to minimize bleeding and expand the cavity.
Advantages
The composite technology offers superior performance compared to conventional materials. It is self-dissolving, provides dual hemostasis, reduces pain, prevents secondary trauma, and enhances patient comfort. It is easy to cut and maneuver, effectively preventing adhesion and aiding wound repair.
Company Background
Since 1998, the company has been dedicated to the research and development of hyaluronic acid and collagen medical devices. It operates in 22 countries, holds 81 product certificates, and has published 49 papers.
