INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY SOFT TISSUE BIPOSY LightCut Plus Coaxial(tm) Ultra-light semiautomatic tru-cut needle for soft tissues biopsy with coaxial LightCut Plus Coaxial(tm) (PDP) needle is a disposable device provided with removable cannula made with AISI 304 steel with a “Menghini” tip that allows an atraumatic precise cutting of the tissue. A sliding stopper and centimeter markings on the cannula surface allow an easily determination of the depth of insertion. The biopsy specimen, can be taken with two different length: 10mm or 20mm. PDP needle, after cannula loading, can be used with a single hand, leaving the other free to handle other devices such as ultrasound guide etc.. The stylet is equipped with: -ultra-sharp triple tip to penetrate easily also into fibrous tissues -a 20mm specimen notch for the sample capture. Internal echogenic marker to enhance the ultrasound visibility avoiding the tumor cells spread during the biopsy procedure. Optionally NeedleVise® safety device can be added (PDPR, PDPTR codes) Needle size, with international colour code, stamped on the handle of the needle. LightCut Plus Coaxial(tm) needle, is the lightest on the market; this characteristic is very important because allows the User to leave the device safely inserted into the patient without support it.
