MarkSlim Non-repositionable needles for pre-operative localization of mammary nodules MarkSlim (PNS) is a needle provided with a non-repositionable stainless steel wire for pre-operative localization of not palpable breast lesions. It is equipped with AISI 304 steel cannula with Lancet tip to enable high penetration capacity and to avoid excessive deflection and maximize the precision of insertion. The reduced dimensions of “Slime line” cone permit to insert the needle through the holes of the mammography machine’s compression plate. The wire is marked two times indicating the hook position into the cannula; the first line indicates that the wire is located in proximity of the tip needle; the second one warns the complete leakage of the hook from the tip. The needle allows dye injections and liquids aspirations. Centimeter markings and sliding stopper on the cannula surface enhance to easily determine the insertion depth. The needle is provided with a special clamp to fix the protruding wire to the skin avoiding its movement.
