Mri Needles 100% amagnetic needles for use under MRI immagining systems, MRI NEEDLES is the range of amagnetic needles for interventional MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) procedures. MRI is used in neurology, otolaryngology, urology, orthopedics and oncology and for a variety of purposes, including the following: - detecting musculoskeletal disorders and injuries - identifying complications of infectious diseases, such as those associated with Lyme disease or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) - imaging the cardiovascular system - detecting congenital heart defects in neonates - determining the stage of certain types of cancer - evaluating bone marrow disease - assessing blood vessels in the brain for stroke and other abnormalities - assisting in the planning of surgery and cancer treatment - evaluating the urinary tract Intro MRI Reference : PTMxxyy CytoCut MRI Reference : PBMxxyy Themy MRI Reference : TYMRxxyy SOFT TISSUE BIOPSY In most MRI scanners, the patient opening is like a long tube, and some patients may become claustrophobic. To be more patient-friendly, different types of MRI scanners have been developed. Newer MRI scanners have shorter patient openings that allows the patient’s head to remain outside the machine during body scans. Open MRI scanners are available with columns and open sides to alleviate claustrophobia. MRI system is used not only for this aim, but also because many interventional procedures are much more easier to be performed than under conventional Computer Tomography (CT), although this diagnostic imaging procedure is still used especially for bone structure analysis and head traumas. MRI examination is also preferred because it uses radio waves, rather than X-Rays that are harmful for the patient. Other reasons for the increasing interest in MRI diagnosis are: • Clear visibility of soft tissues • Temperature sensitivity • Multiplanar imaging that eases anatomic-topographic orientation • Images can be quickly built up thanks to improved software. The key for a well performing procedure under MRI system is the material of the instruments that are used. Instruments have to be non-magnetic, with a low artefact, in order to be seen and handled properly. MDL is one of the few companies in the world to develop such materials and to provide properly visible instruments for Interventional MRI pr
