At the same time, Prof. Dr. Vilmann and his team at the Gentofte University Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark performed studies into different EUS needle prototypes for this endoscope. In 1994 Medi-Globe GmbH pioneered the most promising protoype into a reliable medical product.
