The Aerolife2 is a reliable IPPB (Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing) therapy system designed for easy positive pressure inhalation. It features dimensions of 230 mm x 160 mm x 250 mm, weighs 4.6 kg, and operates at a noise level of approximately 60 dB. The device is classified as IIa and offers a pressure setting range from 0 to 35 mbar, with a trigger range of -0.5 to -5 mbar. It supports a flow rate of 20 to 60 L/min and requires a power supply of 230V/65W.
The Aerolife2 includes an overflow-protected container for medication, is latex-free, and features a well-thought-out tube system with an integrated medication nebuliser. The nebuliser provides a droplet size of >77% <2.7μm and an output of 0.3g/min. The device is practical due to its lightweight design, powerful and quiet membrane compressor, and clear controls. An optional oxygen connection is available.
IPPB therapy is used for obstructive pulmonary diseases, facilitating positive pressure inhalation to expand bronchial airways, remove secretions, and activate pulmonary atelectasis. This therapy enhances lung volume and respiratory gas exchange.
The Aerolife2 starts automatically with the first breath, recognizing pressure loss in the tube system. It transitions between inhalation and exhalation phases automatically, ensuring user-friendly operation.
The device is suitable for conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, pulmonary emphysema, pneumoconiosis, COPD, and other respiratory difficulties. It is also used for atelectasis prophylaxis and respiratory muscle training pre- and post-operation.
The compact device offers manual control options, a sensitive trigger range for comfortable therapy, and a maximum continuous application period of 30 minutes.
