Greater reliability Greater time savings Space-saving design The conventional generation of dry-heat sterilizers used until now featured only thermal heat interchange inside the device. Hygienic specialists, however, have warned that coldair pockets can develop in these units and can endanger sterilization effectiveness. This problem has now been solved. The Sterilizer 205 features a highly effective system of mechanically forced air movement. This means that a fan assures completely satisfactory heat interchange inside the device, and at the same time prevents overheating. For everyday practice, mechanically forced air movement considerably reduces operating time. This means that important instruments are ready faster. Conventional dry-heat sterilizers of this size require approx. 90 minutes – but the Sterilizer 205 requires only 60 min., thanks to mechanically forced air movement. Even with enclosed instruments (e. g., in closed aluminium cassettes), overall times from 75 min. are possible. The Sterilizer 205 replaces the dry heat sterilizers type 211-225 dry-heat sterilizers which MELAG has successfully produced for decades. The new space-saving design of the Sterilizer 205 has reduced the outer dimensions while retaining the same effective capacitiy (14 litres). The installation width of the Sterilizer 205 is only 31cm. Dry-heat sterilization Large sterilization chamber The dry-heat sterilization process represents a recognised sterilization technique. Hot air at 180°C can sterilize all articles made of inorganic materials: e. g., metals, glass, porcelain, earthenware, enamel, etc. Despite the compact outer dimensions, the Sterilizer 205 can hold six large aluminium trays or three closed aluminium cassettes.
