Flow tube kits are offered for QuikScale columns that are geared specifically for high throughput processing. The QuikScale column’s patent-pending liquid seals ensure operational integrity for reliable process handling. The consistent performance of the QuikScale column simplifies the validation efforts necessary to qualify the separation process as well as reducing manufacturing operating costs and processing time. Excellent Performance over a Wide Range of Temperatures QuikScale columns are designed for use over a broad range of environmental conditions from 2 °C to 35 °C. Under changing environmental conditions, dissimilar column materials expand and contract, often at divergent rates, potentially leading to seal and/or material failure. Moreover, the mechanical strengths of materials change as a function of temperature, thereby imposing additional design considerations in order to maintain safe and predictable column operation. The QuikScale column has been engineered to minimize the effects of changing environmental conditions. A 100 mm QuikScale column was hydrostatically tested to 7 bar at the boundaries of the recommended operational temperatures. The test was conducted statically at nominal temperatures of 2 °C, 20 °C, and 35 °C for extended periods of time. Figure 1 shows the equipment used for the ambient testing.
