Thoroughly rinse all visible contaminants off the impression with water Fill disinfection solution into a suitable disinfection tray (not too large) Helpful tips: yy Before taking an impression hygienically rinse the patient’s mouth. yy Pay attention to both manufacturers’ instructions (impression material and disinfectant) regarding action time and material compatibility. yy The action time must not exceed 5 minutes (form stability)! yy An agreement with the dental laboratory prevents double disinfection.
