PATENTED APPLIER SPIRE’IT© is a permanent suture applier used in the fixation of implants. It is manufactured from the same shape memory alloy used in cardiac surgery (Nitinol). Ten sutures are stored horizontally in a barrel and return to their original teached suture shape once implanted in the body at 37°C. The original patented technology allows the surgeon to modify the suture deepness by changing the applier’s incident angle.
