Assembly of the Horizontal System
1. Position and lock clamps to the operating table.
2. Insert the post in clamp holes and blocks.
3. Apply the traction pin and lock the system.
4. Insert grooved pin, apply dynamometer (0-10 Kg), and finger traps.
Sterilization
Use a sterilization tray with cloth or paper filters (55cm x 28cm x 12.5cm) and P1 Autoclave Cycle. Ensure arm blocking straps and finger traps are thoroughly dried before sterilization.
Characteristics of the Vertical Traction System
- Allows wrist procedures in a neutral position.
- Eccentric in two orthogonal planes for fluoroscopic exams.
- Base position can be alternated for free wrist movement.
- Rapid modification of wrist position from neutral to flexion/extension.
- Micrometric/macrometric traction modulation (0-10 Kg).
- Usable by a single surgeon for complex procedures.
Indications for Vertical Traction System
- Radial-Distal fracture treatment (K-Wire, external fixation, dorsal plate synthesis).
- Ligamentous lesion treatment (K-Wire stabilization, bone reinsertion).
- Radial-ulnar distal treatment (ulnar styloid synthesis, bone reinsertion).
- Wrist Arthroscopy.
Characteristics of the Horizontal Traction System
- Micrometric/macrometric traction modulation (0-10 Kg).
- Eccentric sliding pin for fluoroscopic exams.
- Central pin rotation for sagittal wrist positioning.
- Rapid wrist position modification.
- Usable by a single surgeon for complex procedures.
Indications for Horizontal Traction System
- Radial-Distal fracture treatment (vular plate synthesis, arthroscopic balancing).
- Carpal scaphoid fracture treatment (percutaneous synthesis, open synthesis).
- Rizoarthrosis treatment (trapezectomy, base resection, Pyrodisc).
- Wrist arthrosis treatment (scaphoidectomy, cartilage resection, wrist prosthesis preparation).
Assembly of the Vertical System
1. Place arm in strap, pass through base openings, and apply to post.
2. With elbow flexed at 90 degrees, level the system base with the arm.
3. Insert post and wrist support in dedicated holes to lock the system.
4. Use nylon finger traps for adaptability.
5. Apply extension to wrist support for stability.
6. Vary grooved pin and dynamometer position for desired wrist flexion.
7. Assemble finger traps on necessary digits.

TRACTION SYSTEM BROCHURE-1

ASSEMBLY OF THE HORIZONTAL SYSTEM Position and lock the clamps to the operating table. Insert the post in the appropriate clamp holes and relative blocks. Apply the traction pin to the post and proceed with locking the system. Insert grooved pin and apply the dynamometer (0 – 10 Kg) and finger traps on the fingers. STERILIZATION For the sterilization of all the components of the traction system, it is recommended to use a sterilization tray with traditional cloth or paper filters with the following specifcations: length – 55cm, width – 28 cm, heigth 12.5cm and P1 Autoclave Cycle. Note: It is recommended to thoroughly dry the arm blocking straps and plastic finger traps after cleaning and prior to sterilization or sterilize these components separately once thoroughly dried. The “Traction Tower” is developed in conjunction with Dr. Pier Paolo Borelli CONTACTS HEADQUARTERS: Mikai S.p.A. Via P. TRACTION SYSTEM BROCHURE-2

ASSEMBLY OF THE VERTICAL SYSTEM CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VERTICAL SYSTEM OR TRACTION TOWER The vertical traction system allows one to perform procedures with the wrist in a neutral position of pronosupination The traction system is perfectly eccentric in two orthogonal planes to allow for fluorosopic exams without superpositioning images on both planes The option of alternating the position of the base to allow for a free wrist on either the the ulnar or radial side The option of rapidly modifying the wrist position from a neutral position to flexion or extension CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HORIZONTAL...
