Product catalog summary
Introduction
Miura's new MW system introduces advanced water softening technology with split-flow regeneration, ensuring a consistent supply of highly softened water. The system features double tank alternation, a Colormetry hardness detector, and a control panel integrated with Miura's MOM and ER dashboard systems.
Key Features
  • Split-Flow Regeneration Technology: Enhances water softening by circulating brine from top to bottom, ensuring ideal regeneration.
  • 24/7 Monitoring: The system automatically engages a 24-hour regeneration cycle if the water totalizer is compromised, preventing hardness leakage.
  • Colormetry Hardness Detection: Automatically monitors water quality and controls regeneration, logging alarms and faults.
  • Remote Dashboard Monitoring: Compatible with Miura's PC dashboard and third-party PLC integration for real-time monitoring and system optimization.
Specifications
  • Models: MW-150U, MW-250U, MW-400U
  • Resin Volume: Ranges from 5.3 × 2 to 14.1 × 2 CFT
  • Standard Flow Rate: 1300 to 2600 GPH
  • Pressure Loss: 10 to 28 psi during normal operation
  • Salt Requirements: 29.8-79.4 lb to 52.9-211.6 lb per regeneration
  • Hardness Removal Capacity: 82,000 to 315,000 grains CaCO3 per generation
  • Power Supply: 100–220 VAC, 50/60 Hz, single-phase
  • Connection Diameter: Inlet/outlet port: 1 1/2” (Internal thread), Drain port: 1” (External thread)
Operational Considerations
  • Raw Water Temperature Range: 39–104°F
  • Raw Water Pressure Range: 22–71 psi
  • Regeneration Drain: 260–1000 gallons per regeneration
  • Peak Flow: 4.6–23.6 GPM
Conclusion
Miura's MW system is engineered for greater efficiency, lower costs, and reduced environmental impact, providing a reliable solution for maintaining optimal boiler operation through advanced water softening technology.

utilize “smart” water softener system for optimized boiler operation The MW will automatically engage a 24 hour regeneration for each tank in the event the integral water totalizer is compromised. (Connection from a makeup water solenoid valve is required). Monitoring the brine ow rate with a ow meter at the brine input line, the MW prevents hardness leakage by managing regeneration of the brine amount and detecting brine introduction failure. If Colormetry detects hardness leakage, it sends a signal to the boiler’s hardness alarm contactor, and will automatically switch tanks to continue to...
