Product catalog summary
Overview: The document outlines the FIA system by MLE Engineering GmbH Dresden, designed for automated analytical determinations in laboratories, focusing on water, environmental, and food sample analysis. It employs standardized analytical procedures with a photometric detector, managed by FIAStudio software on a PC.
System Specifications: The modular and customizable FIA system includes an 8-port injection valve, a 6-channel peristaltic pump, and a photometer with a 50 mm cuvette compartment. It supports various measurement ranges and can be expanded with additional components for complex methods.
FIA Nexus: This module integrates proven technology with modern control electronics, facilitating quick method exchanges and parallel operations for high sample throughput. It features a 6-channel peristaltic pump and can be upgraded with additional pumps and digestion components.
Autosampler and Dilution: The autosampler accommodates different vial types and performs automatic dilutions for off-range samples, supporting two measurement ranges without modification.
Software - FIAStudio: The Windows-based FIAStudio software controls the system, handling data acquisition, processing, and archiving, with export functions for LIMS integration. It aids in method development and adaptation with pre-configured and programmable methods.
Measurement Parameters: The system measures parameters like ammonium, cyanide, nitrate, sulfate, etc., with a typical variance coefficient of 0.5-1%. Methods adhere to DIN EN ISO standards.
Cyanide Analyzer: This component includes an autosampler and a FIA Nexus device with a digestion unit for cyanide analysis per DIN EN ISO 14403-1, using gas diffusion to reduce interferences and enhance sensitivity.
Total Nitrogen/Phosphorus Analyzer: The system analyzes total nitrogen and phosphorus using oxidative digestion and subsequent reactions to form measurable compounds, allowing simultaneous analysis from a single sample.
General Requirements: The system requires a standard PC with Windows 10 and at least 4 GB of memory, connecting via RS 232 or USB interfaces.

FIA system-1

Medizin- und Labortechnik Engineering GmbH Dresden FIA system The automated analytical system is developed for determinations in laboratories performing water and environmental analysis as well as food sample analysis using standardized analytical procedures with a photometric detector. The FIA system is designed as a multichannel, easy-to-use wet-chemical analysis system which is controlled by a PC. The detection is carried out photometrically, whereby the measured data is recorded and managed with the FIAStudio software. Due to the modular setup, the FIA system can be customized to meet the specific requirements of the laboratory. Each analysis module comprises the following functional parts: - 8-Port-injection valve Step-motor driven 6-channel-peristaltic pump (long life) Photometer with 50 mm cuvette compartment and replaceable interference filter Display to show the current operating status The analysis module FIA Nexus combines proven technology with a new 50 mm photometer and stateof-the-art control electronics. The method units can be exchanged quickly and easily within a few minutes. Thus, FIA Nexus enables the sequential measurement of different parameters with a small number of samples. For a high sample throughput several FIA Nexus can be operated in parallel. Thus, several parameters can be determined simultaneously for the same sample with one run. The basic device is equipped with a 6-channel peristaltic pump. For the implementation of complex methods with digestion or enrichment, a second peristaltic pump and digestion components can be integrated. These components can also be retrofitted. The autosampler of the analyzer system can distinguish two sample trays with different types of vials. The available diluter performs an automatic dilution for off-range samples (e.g. 1:10 dilution). Due to the 8-port-injection valve two measurement ranges can be realized without modification. Medizin- und Labortechnik Engineering GmbH Dresden The control of the one or multichannel FIA system is carried out by the Windows-based FIAStudio software. In addition, it is used to record, process, manage and archive the measurement data. An export function for transferring the measurement data e.g. to a laboratory information and management system (LIMS) is also part of FIAStudio. If possible, the analytical methods used are flow analysis procedures standardized in accordance with DIN EN ISO. The measurement ranges of the individual parameters are listed in the method list. The variance coefficient...

Medizin- und Labortechnik Engineering GmbH Dresden Cyanide analyzer The Cyanide analyzer consists of an autosampler and a FIA Nexus device with integrated digestion unit for the selective release of cyanide from metal complexes according to the flow injection method DIN EN ISO 14403-1 which describes the pyridine-free determination of free and total cyanide. Gas diffusion of the released cyanide in a membrane cell eliminates possible interferences caused by the sample matrix. As the membrane transfer is carried out with stationary acceptor solution, this leads to an enrichment of the analyte...
