CEILING COLUMNS MSC Offers Two Ceiling Columns When multiple electrical and medical gas services are required in congested environments, MSC offers two types of ceiling service columns for maximum convenience and accessibility: • Manually operated, retractable Ceiling Column • Fixed position, non-retractable Ceiling Column All of our ceiling columns are listed to UL and CSA standards, quality assured and made in America. Aesthetics The powder-coated housing not only provides a durable, easy to clean surface, it also complements the other ceiling services to create an attractive environment for both the patient and the health care provider. Easy Installation, Service and Maintenance The rough-in plate for all columns is available for early shipment allowing ceilings to be closed before hanging the column. It includes rear entry tube connections and a keyhole slotted mounting bracket for easy installation. A clear electrical ground path is built in for added safety. Electrical junction boxes are provided in the retractable columns. The completely removable, light-weight shroud provides full accessibility to interior components for easy service. The ceiling column is easy to maintain and clean because of its smooth, powder-coated finish.

More Services and Smooth Operation The large octagonal head on the ceiling column allows for more services than most columns; 26 to 28 available. With straight sides on the head, proper vertical mounting of flow meters, vacuum regulators and brackets for waste canisters is accomplished. Nitrogen control panels are available to fit into the column. Durable, ball-bearing slides insure smooth, quiet movement and make the retractable columns easy to raise and lower.
