Research activities: CUPIDO’s case study Inhalable nanoparticles to the heart. Started in 2017 and finished in 2021, the EU-funded project CUPIDO project proposes an innovative solution: the application of nanotechnologies to the cardiovascular field. CUPIDO aims to develop inhalable nanoparticles that can deliver a therapy directly to the diseased heart. Nemera’s role in the consortium was to develop the inhaler that administers the nanoparticles to the lungs before being carried out to the heart.
