HONOUR® ORB

Product catalog summary
Patient Positioning: The patient is placed in a supine position with the head slightly extended, ensuring the mandible is out of the surgical field and the cervical spine is supported to maintain normal lordosis.
Exposure of Operative Level(s): Access the site by retracting tissues and confirming the operative level with a lateral radiograph.
Discectomy: Complete discectomy is performed using surgical instruments to remove disc material and cartilage, exposing the posterior longitudinal ligament and endplates.
Trialing and Endplate Preparation: Use a rasp to prepare endplates, ensuring minimal bone removal. Confirm implant size with trial spacers, which are 1mm undersized for proper fit.
Implant Placement: Select the appropriate implant size, attach it to the inserter, and pack with bone graft material. Ensure the implant is centered and recessed in the disc space.
Implant Removal: Use a threaded removal tool to extract the implant, removing any obstructive bone growth.
General Description: The HONOUR® Spacer System is made of polyetheretherketone with tantalum markers, designed for cervical and lumbar intervertebral fusion and vertebral body replacement.
Indications/Contraindications: Indicated for use in cervical and lumbar spine for degenerative disc disease and vertebral body replacement. Contraindications include infection, pregnancy, and other conditions affecting bone union.
Warnings and Precautions: Ensure proper implant selection and handling. Devices are single-use and not intended for sole spinal support. Mixing metals and using components from different systems is prohibited.
Product Numbers: Lists of standard and optional product numbers for implants and instruments are provided.
