Inertia Deformity Correxxion™ System Overview
The Inertia® Turbo Deformity Correxxion Towers are part of the Inertia®
Pedicle Screw & Deformity Correxxion™ System, registered with the FDA. This system is designed to assist in the correction of spinal deformities by providing simultaneous translational correction and sequential rod reduction at each vertebral level.
Procedural Steps
- Ensure Turbo Towers are in the "OPEN" position before use to avoid connection issues with the Screw Housing and rod reduction maneuvers.
- To open the tower, turn the Reducer Knob counterclockwise until a positive stop is felt, indicating the Distal Tips are outside the Reducer Body.
- Capture the unseated Rod by pressing the Turbo Tower onto the Screw Housing, allowing the Distal Tips to splay and click into position.
- Begin rod reduction by rotating the Reducer Knob clockwise, moving the Outer Sleeve downward to contact the Rod.
- An optional Wheel can be attached to assist with Reducer Knob rotation.
- Continue rotating the Reducer Knob until the Outer and Inner Sleeves are flush, indicating the Rod is in the Screw Housing.
- Insert the Set Screw into the Screw Housing and provisionally tighten to secure the Rod.
- Remove the tower by rotating the Reducer Knob counterclockwise and then rotating the entire tower 90° counterclockwise to detach from the Screw Housing.
