Product catalog summary
Overview: The document discusses the Operio sterile air flow system, designed to enhance asepsis in operating theatres, particularly for plastic and reconstructive surgeries. It highlights the system's ability to significantly reduce bacterial and viral contamination, including SARS-CoV-2, through high-purifying HEPA H 14 filters.
Key Features:
  • High Purity Air Filtration: Operio devices use HEPA H 14 filters to achieve 99.9% purification of air, effectively removing bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms.
  • Enhanced Sterility: The system provides up to 95% more sterility compared to conventional air supply systems, creating a germ-free zone that protects both the surgical team and patients.
  • Focused Laminar Air Flow: This feature directs ultraclean air directly onto surgical instruments and the surgical site, reducing bacterial load by more than 95% compared to traditional systems.
  • Compliance and Standards: Operio devices comply with ISO class 5 standards and various medical device directives, ensuring extreme sterile conditions in operating rooms.
Applications:
  • Prosthetic Implant Surgeries: The system minimizes the risk of infections during surgeries involving implants by maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Plastic Surgery: Operio reduces the risk of infections in cosmetic surgeries, such as breast implants, by focusing clean air on the operating field.
Technical Specifications:
  • Operio devices are compact and suitable for small rooms, with adjustable instrument tables available in various lengths.
  • The system includes an electrical height adjustment feature for optimal operation.
Supporting Studies: Multiple studies confirm the effectiveness of the Operio system in reducing bacterial contamination in operating rooms, with significant reductions in particle counts and colony-forming units.

operating theatre ventilation system plastic and reconstructive surgery 2024-1

Operating theatre ventilation system plastic and reconstructive surgery Operio sterile Air Flow: the devices work with high-purifying Hepa H 14 filters which purify the air in the operating room and on the instruments practically completely (99.9%) of bacteria, viruses (also coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) and other microorganisms . With this principle, an extremely high level of antisepsis can be achieved in the operating theater and on the instruments, which was previously only possible in a very expensive operating rooms. Preventing prosthetic implant infections: the sterility of the surgical field and the instruments is not restricted by the horizontal laminar air flow Operio. Turbulence and germs are largely excluded. This principle achieves up to 95% more “sterility” than with conventional air supply ceilings in the operating theater and on the instruments (see studies). The Operio laminar air flow can be positioned in such a way that a “germ-free zone” is set up, which offers the greatest possible protection for both the surgical team and the patient. Operio sterile air flow helps to perform operations during COVID-19 pandemic by reducing the risks for both patients and operating team .

Focus laminar air flow Conventional ventilation system Bacterial load after 60 min. Bacterial load after 60 min. 0,2- 0,52 CFU/m3 (*1) Focused laminar flow systems: the air is filtered through hepa filters free of microorganisms and then directed immediately onto the surgical instruments and surgical site. It is only then distributed throughout the operating theatre. This protects the critical area of the operating theatre, i.e. the instruments and the surgical site. With this system, the bacterial load on the instruments and surgical site is reduced by more than 95% compared with conventional...

Breast implants No matter what type of plastic surgery is performed, infection is one of the greatest risks of cosmetic surgery. Operio reduces the risk of breast infections after surgery with a laminar air flow that is focused to reduce the bacterial load in the operating field up to 95 % in comparison to a conventional operating room. The ultraclean air is not disturbed by surgical light nor the heads of the surgical team as it is directly focused to the operating field. Instrument preparation: the preparation of the sterile instruments can be done in any place of the operating room. The instruments...

Technical specifications The Operio devices are extremely small and handy and can also be used in very small rooms. The removable instrument table from Operio is available in various lengths of 45 cm (for intravitreal injections), 60 cm (for ophthalmic operations and intravitreal injections) and 75 cm (for operations that require a lot of instruments). The electrical height adjustment can be carried out by the sterile OR staff (using a sterile covered display) as well as by the other OR staff using a separate display. There is no need to purchase a separate instrument table for storing the instruments....
