Prevent Breast Implant Infections

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document discusses the Operio sterile air flow system, which utilizes high-purifying HEPA H 14 filters to significantly reduce bacterial and viral contamination in operating rooms, including SARS-CoV-2. This system aims to enhance sterility during surgical procedures, particularly for prosthetic implants.
Specifications
The Operio system is equipped with HEPA filters that purify air to 99.9% efficiency, creating a germ-free zone in the operating theater. It is designed to be compact and versatile, suitable for small rooms, and includes an adjustable instrument table available in various lengths. The system complies with multiple medical device standards, including the Medical Device Directive 93/42 EEC.
Procedures and Benefits
The Operio system provides a focused laminar air flow that reduces bacterial load by over 95% compared to conventional ventilation systems. It ensures the sterility of surgical instruments and the surgical site by directing filtered air directly onto these areas. This system is particularly beneficial during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering protection to both patients and surgical teams.
Comparative Analysis
Conventional ventilation systems distribute air throughout the operating room, which can lead to contamination from the floor. In contrast, the Operio system's focused laminar flow minimizes contamination risks by maintaining a sterile environment directly at the surgical site and instrument table.
Standards and Compliance
The Operio system meets ISO class 5 standards for extreme sterile conditions and complies with various European standards for medical devices. It also features a barcoded sterile cover for traceability in defensive medicine.
Research and Studies
Studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of the Operio system in reducing particle counts and bacterial load in surgical environments. Research from the University of Greifswald and other institutions supports the system's ability to maintain low contamination levels, complying with DIN 1946-4 standards.
Conclusion
The Operio sterile air flow system offers a significant advancement in maintaining sterility in operating rooms, particularly for procedures involving implants. Its ability to reduce bacterial contamination and comply with rigorous standards makes it a valuable tool in modern surgical practices.

Prevent Breast Implant Infections-1

Prevent Breast Implant Infections Operio sterile Air Flow: the devices work with high-purifying Hepa H 14 filters which purify the air in the operating room and on the instruments practically completely (99.9%) of bacteria, viruses (also coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) and other microorganisms . With this principle, an extremely high level of germs can be achieved in the operating theater and on the instruments, which was previously only possible in a very expensive operating rooms. Preventing prosthetic implant infections: the sterility of the surgical field and the instruments is not restricted by the horizontal laminar air flow Operio. Turbulence and germs are largely excluded. This principle achieves up to 95% more “sterility” than with conventional air supply ceilings in the operating theater and on the instruments (see studies). The Operio laminar air flow can be positioned in such a way that a “germ-free zone” is set up, which offers the greatest possible protection for both the surgical team and the patient. Operio sterile air flow helps to perform operations during COVID-19 pandemic by reducing the risks for both patients and operating team .

Focus laminar air flow Conventional ventilation system Bacterial load after 60 min. Bacterial load after 60 min. 63,5 -381 CFU/m3 (*2) Focused laminar flow systems: the air is filtered through hepa filters free of microorganisms and then directed immediately onto the surgical instruments and surgical site. It is only then distributed throughout the operating theatre. This protects the critical area of the operating theatre, i.e. the instruments and the surgical site. With this system, the bacterial load on the instruments and surgical site is reduced by more than 95% compared with conventional...

Technical specifications The Operio devices are extremely small and handy and can also be used in very small rooms. The removable instrument table from Operio is available in various lengths of 45 cm (for intravitreal injections), 60 cm (for ophthalmic operations and intravitreal injections) and 75 cm (for operations that require a lot of instruments). The electrical height adjustment can be carried out by the sterile OR staff (using a sterile covered display) as well as by the other OR staff using a separate display. There is no need to purchase a separate instrument table for storing the instruments....
