DO NOT FREEZE. ihcDirect Cytokeratin 7 (CK7) is a polymerized horseradish peroxidase (polyHRP) labeled CK7 (R284) antibody intended for laboratory use to qualitatively identify by light microscopy the presence of CK7 which is expressed in simple glandular epithelium, and in transitional epithelium, in sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or frozen tissue sections using immunohistochemistry (IHC) test method. The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic tests and proper controls interpreted by a qualified pathologist and/or physician. This conjugate has been pre-diluted and optimized for IHC use without further dilution. Clone R284 antibody reacts with cytokeratin 7 which is found in simple glandular epithelium, and in transitional epithelium. Cytokeratin 7 is expressed in the majority of cases of carcinoma, with exception of those carcinoma arising from the colon, prostate, kidney, and thymus; carcinoid tumors of the lung and gastrointestinal tract origin; Merkel cell tumor of the skin. The ihc Blocker provided in the kit used prior to applying pHRP Cytokeratin 7 conjugate can reduce background and nonspecific staining.
