ProMIS Hip Stem

Product catalog summary
Product Overview
The ProMIS Hip Stem is a cementless implant designed for anatomical adaptation to various femoral shapes, supporting minimally invasive surgical methods. It is constructed from a high-strength titanium alloy (TiAl6V4 ISO 5832-3) and features a proximal TPS+Bonit® coated surface with a medial-distal rough-blasted base for optimal osteointegration. The double conical design with trapezoidal proximal widening allows for both cortical distal clamping and proximal stabilization.

Specifications
  • Material: Titanium alloy TiAl6V4 ISO 5832-3
  • Surface Structure: Proximal TPS and Bonit® coating, medial-distal rough blasted
  • Cone: 12/14
  • Variants: Standard N (CCD 132°), Lateralised NL (CCD 127°), Lateralised L (CCD 132°)
  • Sizes: Standard N available in 13 sizes, Lateralised NL and L in 9 sizes each

Compatibility
The ProMIS stem can be combined with various cup systems and femoral heads from the OHST portfolio. An extraction thread M6 is available for easier revision.

Instruments
The implantation requires a minimal set of basic instruments, provided in a universal instrument set. This set includes tools for creating the implant bed and trial positioning, as well as instruments for correcting implant position during surgery. The rasps are designed for minimally invasive techniques, featuring a blunt, short tip to prevent bone defects and closely placed teeth to reduce canting. Made from high-quality hardened stainless steel, the rasps are CNC ground and plasma polished for durability and easy reprocessing.

Conclusion
The ProMIS Hip Stem offers a versatile solution for hip replacement surgeries, accommodating different anatomical needs with its range of sizes and variants. Its design and material composition ensure high performance and compatibility with existing systems, while the instrument set facilitates efficient surgical procedures.

ProMIS Hip Stem-1

OHSTA medical technology BEST QUALITY For a cementless anchoring in the femur The cementless ProMIS hip stem is another stem implant for anatomical adaptation to different femoral shapes. The stem was developed to support minimally invasive surgical methods. The ProMIS stem is made of a high-strength titanium alloy TiAl6V4 ISO 5832-3. The proximal TPS+Bonit® coated surface and the medial-distal rough-blasted base body offer the best pre-conditions for secondary osteointegration. The double conical basic design with trapezoidal proximal widening allows both cortical distal clamping in narrow, trumpet-shaped medullary canals as well as proximal stabilisation in wider femoral shapes. To accommodate different anatomies, the stem is is available in sizes -1 to 11. In addition, a lateralised version (NL) and a version with an extended neck area (L) can be chosen. The ProMIS stem can be combined with the well-known cup systems and femoral heads from our portfolio. For easier revision, an extraction thread M6 is available in the shaft axis.
