  • It is suitable for use in various environments, including domestic settings connected to public low-voltage power networks.
Installation and Usage Recommendations:
  • The device should be installed and operated according to specified EMC guidelines.
  • It should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment unless verified for normal operation.
  • Portable and mobile RF communications equipment may affect the device, and a minimum separation distance should be maintained.
Electromagnetic Emissions:
  • Harmonic emissions comply with IEC 61000-3-2 Class A.
  • Voltage fluctuations and flicker emissions comply with IEC 61000-3-3.
  • RF emissions comply with CISPR 14-1, but the device is not suitable for interconnection with other equipment.
Electromagnetic Immunity:
  • Electrostatic discharge immunity complies with IEC 61000-4-2, with specified test levels for contact and air discharge.
  • Electrical fast transient/burst immunity complies with IEC 61000-4-4, suitable for typical commercial and hospital environments.
  • Surge immunity complies with IEC 61000-4-5, with specified levels for line-to-line and line-to-earth surges.
  • Voltage dips and interruptions immunity complies with IEC 61000-4-11, with recommendations for uninterruptible power supply if continuous operation is required.
  • Power frequency magnetic field immunity complies with IEC 61000-4-8.
Recommended Separation Distances:
  • Guidelines are provided for maintaining separation distances between the CX3 and RF communications equipment, based on the transmitter's output power and frequency.
  • Specific distances are calculated using the formula d = 1.2 √P for frequencies 150 kHz to 800 MHz and d = 2.3 √P for 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz.
Conclusion: The OMRON CX3 is designed to operate effectively within specified electromagnetic environments, with detailed guidelines to prevent interference from and to other electronic devices.

Additional CX3 compressor nebuliser information-1

Additional CX3 compressor nebuliser information regarding Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) according to IEC60601-1-2:2001, clause 6.8 With the increased number of electronic devices such as PC’s and mobile telephones, medical devices in use may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference from other devices. The EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) standard IEC60601-1-2 defines the levels of immunity to these electromagnetic interferences. From the other hand, medical devices must not interfere with other devices. IEC60601-1-2 also defines the maximum levels of emissions for these medical devices. The OMRON CX3 conforms to this IEC60601-1-2 standard for immunity and emission. Nevertheless, special precautions need to be observed: The OMRON CX3 needs to be installed and put into service according to the EMC information below. The OMRON CX3 is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specified in the tables below. The customer or the user of the CX3 should assure that it is used in such environment. In general, although the OMRON CX3 complies to the EMC standards, it can be affected by portable and mobile RF communications equipment (such as mobile telephones). The OMRON CX3 should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment. In case adjacent or stacked use is necessary, the CX3 should be observed to verify normal operation. Guidance and manufacturer’s declaration: Electromagnetic Emissions (IEC 60601-1-2) Emissions test Compliance Electromagnetic environment Harmonic emissions The CX3 is suitable for use in all establishments, Class A IEC 61000-3-2 including domestic establishments and those directly connected to the public low-voltage power Voltage fluctuations / supply network that supplies buildings used for flicker emissions Complies domestic purposes. IEC 61000-3-3 RF emissions The CX3 is not suitable for interconnection with Complies CISPR 14-1 other equipment.
