ORCAMPTM - Laparoscopic set-up The ORCAMPTM is the world’s most realistic training environment for surgical teams and is designed to improve healthcare productivity. The system is a hands-on skills training solution, in a simulated operating theatre environment, including an operating table, C-arm and all control functions. The ORCAMPTM integrates a wide range of different simulation technologies in order to create the optimal realistic training set-up. This removes the necessity to practice scenarios on real patients, in real operating rooms, with consequential exposure to real radiation. Examples of procedures: A unique opportunity to improve health care productivity through the unique fusion of non-technical skills and technical skills. Whole teams are able to practice collaboratively (Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Nurses, Radiographers and Technicians). Training Courses for the Orcamp include: • • • • • • • • • • • Basic Skills (thirteen different tasks) Task training (inspired by the fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) Camera Anatomy training (modules: Abdominal anatomy, Female pelvic anatomy) Cholecystectomy (From clipping the cystic duct to removing the gall bladder) Gynecology with four procedures: - Tubal occlusion - Salpingectomy - Salpingostomy - Myoma suturing Suturing & Anastomosis (ten successive exercises) Appendectomy (Procedures included: Loop technique, Single stapling technique, Dual stapling technique, Optional stapling technique) Hysterectomy (Simulating the critical steps of a laparoscopic hysterectomy procedure) Bariatrics (includes four training tasks: Running the bowel, Measure the bowel, Lap-band suturing, Jejunojejunal anastomosis) Nephrectomy (includes three training tasks: Kidney clips, Kidney dissection, Camera Management Exercise) VATS Lobectomy (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery Lobectomy) key training elements. Component list The ORCAMP Laparascopy set-up consists of: • • • • • An Operating Table, capable of all clinically relevant movements e.g. up/down, cradle movements and tilting. A Control Panel, including realistic controls for movement of the table (and c-arm). The control panel also includes an imaging unit and specific controls for image management.
