Product catalog summary
Specifications Overview
The document provides detailed specifications for PerkinElmer's Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detectors (FPDs) and their associated accessories, including power supplies, frame grabbers, and cables. These components are essential for the optimal performance of the FPDs and are designed to be integrated into complete X-ray systems by manufacturers.

Power Supplies
The XRD power supplies are standalone units supporting 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz and 60 Hz. They feature an LED display for status indication and are known for their rugged design and low ripple voltage. Two models are detailed: XRD EPS and XRD LPM, each with specific input/output specifications, size, weight, and environmental ratings. Both models comply with UL, EN, and IEC standards and are CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.

Shielding
Shielding cassettes are recommended to protect the electronics of the FPDs. Tungsten shielding is highlighted for its reduced scattering effects and ease of handling, available for various FPD models at different keV levels.

Frame Grabbers
Frame grabbers are used for controlling and acquiring 16-bit data images from the FPDs. They connect via an optical fiber interface and support synchronization with external triggers. Two models, XRD FGX Opto and XRD FGe Opto, are described with specifications on data rate, memory, and environmental conditions. Both models are compliant with EN-60601-1 standards and CE, RoHS, and WEEE regulations.

Cables
Various power, trigger, and data cables are available, with options for extending cable lengths using extensions and connectors. The document provides detailed specifications for data and trigger cables, including lengths and types (optical fiber, Cat6e, TTL, LVDS).

Regulatory and Compliance
The document emphasizes that the FPDs and accessories are components for integration into complete systems, with manufacturers responsible for meeting regulatory requirements. The document is subject to change without notice, and PerkinElmer disclaims liability for errors.

Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detector Power Supplies, Frame Grabbers, and Cables-1

S P E C I F I C A T I O N S XRD Accessories Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detector Power Supplies, Frame Grabbers, and Cables PerkinElmer Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detectors (FPDs) require additional power supplies, frame grabbers and cables for optimum performance. Below you will find detailed descriptions of the accessories and charts that will explain which power supplies, frame grabbers and cables are compatible which each detector. Power Supplies The XRD power supplies are stand-alone units designed to support PerkinElmer’s FPDs. They support 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz and 60 Hz. An LED display indicates the status of the device. The XRD EPS Power Supply is distinguished by its rugged design, versatility, and low ripple and humming voltage. The output voltages are stabilized across the load using voltage-sensing connections. Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detector Power Supplies, Frame Grabbers, and Cables-2

Frame Grabbers (For use with XRD 1621 only.) The XRD Frame Grabber boards are used for controlling and acquiring 16-bit data images using PerkinElmer Digital X-ray Flat Panel Detectors (FPD). They connect to the FPDs with a optical fiber interface. Up to four frame grabbers, each using its own detector, can be connected to one PC. Frame Grabbers provide the advantage of synchronization between the detector and X-ray source or manipulator by using an external trigger signal or by using the internal trigger function of the frame grabber. It provides an FPGA and 256 MB RAM to perform on-board corrections...
