EMBOLECTOMY CATHETERS CHARACTERISTICS Latex ballon. The arterial embolectomy catheter is indicated for the removal of fresh, soft emboli and thrombi from vessels in the arterial system. T he catheters are composed of a Polyamide tube with a tied latex balloon at its distal end. These catheters are easily identified by a colour code which corresponds to their size in French and are graded every 10 cm. Moreover, maximum balloon inflation capacity is printed on the proximal end of each catheter. The catheters should be stored in a dry, dark area away from heat. Sterilized by ethylene oxide....
