Description Pharmacoll® Comfort Plus: Made of a thick hydrocolloid island pad placed in the middle of a thin hydrocolloid layer. The thin hydrocolloid layer is laminated with a semi permeable, bacteria proof and waterproof polyurethane film. Benefits: • Central hydrocolloid thick island pad for higher absorption capacity, and thinner hydrocolloid adhesive border for better conformity with the skin surrounding the wound. • Waterproof and bacteria proof polyurethane backing protects wound from moisture and bacteria. • Maintains optimal moisture through a unique interplay between absorption and evaporation. • Pharmacoll® Comfort Plus has high absorption capacity, which prolongs dressing change intervals up to seven days increasing patient comfort and minimize wound disruption by changing of the dressing. • Hydrocolloid accelerates healing process by providing moist environment for formation of granulation tissue. • Slightly transparent which allows wound monitoring during the healing process. • Reduce maceration of the healthy skin surrounding the wound. • Pharmacoll® Comfort Plus reacts with wound exudate to form a gel-like cover, which protects the wound bed (nerve ending and granulation tissue) and maintains a moist wound environment. • The product is available in grid style. This grid pattern makes it easy to measure the progress of the healing process. • Contains a comprehensive assortment of shapes and sizes. Indication: Suitable for moist wound care, used to treat light to moderately exudating wounds: • Pressure ulcers. • Leg ulcers. • Diabetic ulcer. • Chronic slow healing wounds • Skin tears and abrasions • Skin graft donor sites. • First and second degree burns. • Re-hydrate necrotic tissue, which is then removed by autolysis. Contraindication: Pharmacoll® Comfort Plus should not be used on infected wounds, third degree burns, bones, tendons nor on exposed muscle. Precautions: In case of allergic reaction or reddening took place, please discontinue using the dressing directly.
