Product catalog summary
Overview
PHCbi Cooled Incubators are designed for high performance in biological research and environmental studies, offering precise control over temperatures and lighting patterns. They are suitable for applications such as quality control, microbiology, and stability conditioning.
Model Range
Three models are available: MIR-154-PE (123 litres), MIR-254-PE (238 litres), and MIR-554-PE (406 litres).
Programmable Operation
These incubators feature a microprocessor control for flexible programming of temperature, light, and time. Users can set up to 12-step operations, repeatable up to 98 times or continuously, with storage for up to 10 programs.
Temperature Control
The incubators offer a temperature range from -10°C to +60°C, suitable for various experiments. They use a high precision microprocessor temperature control system.
Intuitive Operation
An LCD display with a pop-up menu allows easy operation. Users can combine programs, set start dates and times, and auto-record data. The chamber light is timer-controlled.
Design and Features
Designed for user comfort, the incubators have a rounded corner design and reversible doors (except MIR-554). Features include energy-saving, automatic defrosting, and light timer control. The MIR-554 model has a humidity reduction mode, while MIR-154 and MIR-254 have a fan to reduce medium drying.
Security and Safety
Equipped with an automatic temperature alarm, independent over-temperature protection, and a memory backup mechanism. They also have a tamper-proof key lock and self-diagnostic function.
Performance Data
Includes chamber pull-down/pull-up characteristics under various ambient temperatures and thermal loads, demonstrating efficiency and reliability.
Specifications Overview
Details for models MIR-154-PE, MIR-254-PE, and MIR-554-PE include dimensions, volume, weight, temperature control range, and performance ambient temperature. They use a thermistor for temperature sensing and forced air circulation for cooling.
Performance Data
Outlines chamber temperature changes over time under specific conditions at different ambient temperatures (20°C and 35°C).
Construction and Materials
Constructed with painted steel exteriors and stainless steel interiors, featuring outer doors with locks, reversible doors, and multiple shelves.
Refrigeration and Insulation
Uses R1234-yf refrigerant with specified weight and GWP values. Insulation is PUF with a thickness of 40 mm.
Control and Alarms
Managed via PID control, with alarms for power failure, temperature deviations, and door open conditions, including visual, buzzer, and remote options.
Electrical and Noise Level
Power supply is 230V/50Hz, with a noise level of 44 dB(A).
Options and Accessories
Includes stacking kits, door padlock brackets, LED illumination kits, inner doors, and door window blanking plates.
Compliance and Notes
Complies with the F-Gas Regulation (EU) No 517/2014, with additional details on dimensions and operational ranges.

Combining flexible temperature (H), light on/off (L) and time control (T), a maximum 12-step plus constant operation or max. 12-step repeating operation can be programmed according to the experimentation requirements. A program can be set to repeat for a minimum of one time to a maximum of 98 times or continuous repeat. Program input is simple and the incubator accommodates a range of diversified experimentation requirements, proving ideal for experimentation during night time and holidays, experimentation that requires settings to be changed, microorganism culture and preservation. The Cooled...

Condensation prevention (MIR-554 only) A humidity reduction mode helps reduce inner chamber condensation that may occur during high temperature operation. Prevents medium from dessication (MIR-154, 254 only) A DC fan is designed to be aimed obliquely upward to prevent direct air flow contacting samples. This reduces medium drying byapprox. 50% in MIR-154, and by approx. 15% in MIR-254. The Cooled Incubators are crafted with a comfortable rounded corner design and offer a reversible door for a choice of left- or right-hand door opening. Low vibration setting is also available depending on the...
