PROSPECT 3-Year Imaging Data - 1

PROSPECT 3-Year Imaging Data PROSPECT - Providing Regional Observations to Study Predictors of Events in the Coronary Tree As presented by Gregg Stone, MD on behalf of the PROSPECT investigators Study Design: 700 patient, multi-center, natural history study in patients with acute coronary syndromes Primary Endpoint: MACE attributable to Ml, unstable or stable angina requiring hospitalization or revascularization Inclusion / Exclusion criteria: ACS, only uncomplicated, successful PCI of one or two vessels The three statistically significant predictors of non-culprit lesion risk by multivariate analysis were plaque burden > 70%, presence of a VH-TCFA, and MLA < 4.0 mm2 PROSPECT: Methodology Virtual histology lesion classification Lesions are classified into S main types Pathological intimal thickening (PIT) ^ J,. 4, Thick cap fibroatheroma (ThCFA) O, 6. A lesion identified as a VH-TCFA is a statistically significant predictor of MACE at three years. The risk of MACE increases when combined with plaque burden and MLA parameters.
