Overview
The PETRODIST 400 S is a crude oil distillation system designed for automatic operation in accordance with ASTM D-2892 (TBP) and ASTM D-5236 (Potstill) standards. It combines the functionalities of the PETRODIST 100 S and PETRODIST 200 S systems, with flask sizes of 6 L and 4 L, respectively.

System Components
The system includes a fraction collector compatible with both PETRODIST 100 S and 200 S, featuring 12 receivers of 500 mL each. It allows for more than 48 fractions by replacing filled receivers. The system also includes a vacuum supply, cryostat/thermostat, and control station, requiring water, nitrogen, compressed air, and electricity. Cold traps require dry ice or liquid nitrogen.

Operation
Cuts are taken automatically based on pre-selected boiling temperatures or when receivers are filled. The vacuum-tight fraction collector contains 9 receivers.

Technical Specifications

• ASTM D-2892 Equipment: Flask size of 6 L, charge of 1.8 - 4.0 L, operation temperature up to 350°C (660°F), vacuum pressure down to 1 Torr, final cut temperature up to 400°C AET (750°F).
• ASTM D-5236 Equipment: Flask size of 4 L, charge of 1.2 - 2.4 L, operation temperature up to 400°C (750°F), vacuum pressure down to 0.1 Torr, final cut temperature up to 565°C AET (1050°F).
• Common Specifications: Fraction collector receiver capacity of 9 receivers, max ambient temperature of 25° - 30°C, main supply of 3 x 208 – 250 V, 50 Hz (60 Hz upon request).

Installation Requirements
The system requires water, nitrogen, compressed air, and electricity for installation. All necessary accessories are supplied with the system.
