What to expect from your exam 2D mammogram This is the most common imaging method for breast cancer screenings. Typically each breast is twice positioned and briefly compressed for a few seconds to acquire four X-ray images. Once the images are read, you might also be called back for additional imaging. Additional imaging exams In addition to screening mammograms, the Planmed Clarity™ 2D system supports additional diagnostic work-up examinations and biopsy procedures. These may include additional mammographic views, magnification imaging, and biopsy procedures.
