The 3D scanner produces a three dimensional facial image with a photorealistic portrayal of skin and facial expressions, in less than 0.3 seconds. First the projector scans the face with a light stripe scanner. Then the face is measured with a geometry camera. Finally a texture camera produces the realistic image.
