Programs may be simple or complex. Users can easily create new programs and save them. These personalized programs may be used to treat special cases. US13 is using last generation microprocessors that allowed the introduction of the dhtePtf* system (Multi Parameters Protocols). These programs automatically change the frequency (1 or 3 MHz) and the duty cycles durincflhe treatments. The energy levels are then automatically adjusted in function to the pathology treated / pre-set program used. Ultrasound Machines are designed with a NO-CONTACT indication. This is an essential feature to protect the patient (and the ultrasound head) from overheating. Unfortunately most machines would show the NO-CONTACT indication and interrupt the delivery within 1 second if no skin contact is present. Therapists would like to work without interruptions and a very short NO-CONTACT indication is sometimes annoying. The real issue is to avoid that the ultrasound head will overheat then allowing a slightly longer NO-CONTACT time. US13 is designed with a new ultrasound head that will dissipate the excess heat if the contact with the patient skin is not ideal.
