
Percutaneous Fixator for Wrist and Humerus Fractures The percutaneous fixator for wrist and humerus fractures FIXOR provides a quick and inexpensive intervention for fracture stabilization. The system consists of 2 or more steel wires introduced into the diaphysis up to the spongiosa of the limb, then brought out externally, and finally the whole thing is anchored and stabilized by the use of grooved carbon-fiber plates. The tip of the wires is made to facilitate anchoring while the use of the carbon fiber flat is act to be radiolucent. The carbon fiber strip is tightened by screws. This system is simple and inexpensive and allows the limb to be used immediately after surgery. There are 3 models of Fixor all in sterile package at ETO to 5 years; with 2 wires 1.2-1.5mm for hand, with 2 wires 2 -2.5mm for wrist, with 4 wires 2.5-3mm for humerus.
