Blom® Tracheostomy Tube System

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Blom® Tracheostomy Tube System by Pulmodyne® offers a range of tracheostomy tubes and unique inner cannulas designed to improve patient care and comfort. The system includes both fenestrated and non-fenestrated options, with various accessories to support different medical needs.
Fenestrated Cuffed Tube: This tube features a fenestration approximately 1mm above the cuff, designed to prevent mucosal irritation. The kit includes a fenestrated cuffed tube, standard cannulas, obturator, decannulation plug, and SoftTouch™ tube holder. It is available in sizes #4, #6, #8, and #10.
Fenestrated Uncuffed Tube: This kit includes a fenestrated uncuffed tube, fenestrated cannula, obturator, 15mm cap, and SoftTouch™ tube holder, also available in sizes #4, #6, #8, and #10.
Standard and Fenestrated Cannulas: These are color-coded for easy identification and are designed for single use up to 24 hours. They facilitate airflow and speech production, aiding in the weaning process.
Subglottic Suctioning Cannula: Equipped with a suction catheter, this cannula helps remove secretions above the cuff, reducing the risk of ventilator-associated events (VAE). It supports continuous or intermittent suction and is single-use for up to 24 hours.
Non-Fenestrated Uncuffed Tube: Provides an artificial airway for suctioning and airway access without the need for a cuff. The kit includes a non-fenestrated uncuffed tube, standard cannula, obturator, decannulation plug, and SoftTouch™ tube holder.
Speech Cannula: Allows ventilator-dependent patients to speak by using a flap valve and bubble valve mechanism. It is compatible only with the Blom Fenestrated Cuffed Tube.
LPV™ Low Profile Valve: Designed for spontaneously breathing patients, this hygienic alternative to finger occlusion uses a flap valve to redirect air to the vocal cords. It is suitable for single-patient use for up to 60 days.
Accessories: The system includes various accessories such as the EVR™ (Exhaled Volume Reservoir), decannulation plugs, caps, and tube holders, each available in specific quantities per box.

Standard and Fenestrated Cannulas The Standard and Fenestrated Cannulas are “color distinct”. The Standard Cannula clips into all Blom tubes with its 15mm clips. It typically is used with the Cuffed Fenestrated tube and the Cuffless Non-Fenestrated Tube. The Fenestrated Cannula facilitates the weaning process. This is typically used with the Fenestrated Cuffless Tube. Each are single use for up to 24 hours. Fenestrated Cuffed Tube The fenestration is approximately 1mm above the cuff. Cuff inflation prevents fenestration contact with the tracheal mucosa. The fenestration edges have been rounded...

Blom® Tracheostomy Tube System-4

Non-Fenestrated Uncuffed Tube This tube provides an artificial airway for suctioning and airway access when a cuff is not needed. Speech Cannula The Speech Cannula allows ventilator dependent patients to speak regardless of cuff inflation. It does so with a flap valve and bubble valve. The flap valve opens during inhalation allowing the bubble valve to expand into the fenestration sealing it. The flap valve will close during exhalation allowing the bubble valve to collapse and unblock the fenestration. When the fenestration is unblocked the air is directed up through the fenestration to the vocal...
