SERUM AMYLOID A TEST Serum Amyloid A is a major Acute Phase Protein (APP) produced in the liver in response to inflammation. SAA is released into the bloodstream to alert the immune system that there is an infection or injury present. FOAL IgG IgG is one of 5 types of immunoglobulin (Ig) antibodies (IgA, IgD, IgE and IgM), produced in the mare’s colostrum. A newborn foal has no natural defence mechanisms against infection. Foals are entirely dependent on antibodies absorbed following ingestion of mare’s colostrum. OUR TECHNOLOGY The VeraSTAT-V cassettes use patented Cathodic Electrochemiluminescence (C-ECL) ensuring cost effective yet highly sensitive testing. 1.
