Overview: The KF Comm 2 Software is designed for optimized Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) using KrosFlo® TFF Systems. It features a menu-driven interface compatible with Windows OS and major web browsers, and is specifically designed for KrosFlo® KR2i and KrosFlo® KMPi TFF Systems.
Validation and Compliance: The software may be validated for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) processes and includes a 21 CFR Part 11 option, featuring a login module with electronic signature for tracking experiments.
Intuitive Workflow: The software supports 13 modes of operation, allowing real-time tracking from setup to analysis. These modes include:
- Manual Mode (M): Manual operation of pumps and auxiliary components.
- Continuous Mode (CONT): Manual operation with operator interface steps for concentration and diafiltration.
- Concentration Mode (C): Automated concentration and flushing of the hollow fiber filter.
- Concentration/Diafiltration (C/D): Sequential concentration and diafiltration of the process solution.
- Concentration/Diafiltration/Concentration (C/D/C): Diafiltration with one buffer followed by a second concentration.
- Concentration/Diafiltration/Diafiltration/Concentration (C/D/D/C): Diafiltration with two buffers followed by concentration.
- Constant Feed Concentration (CFC): Concentration while maintaining constant feed weight.
- Constant Feed Concentration/Diafiltration/Concentration (CF/D/C): Concentration with constant feed weight, buffer washing during diafiltration, followed by further concentration.
- Vacuum Mode (V): Use of Constant Feed and/or Diafiltration Mode without auxiliary pumps, utilizing vacuum.
- Flushing Mode (F): Flushing operation.
- Normalized Water Permeability Mode (NWP): Determines filter cleanliness and water flux of new modules.
- Cleaning Mode (C): Cleaning operation.
- Flux Excursion Mode (FE): Measures flux rate.
